In an ongoing effort to provide quality wireless service, T-Mobile is searching for a site to replace the existing site that is being dismantled because of the VDOT I-66 expansion project. In their search, T-Mobile has identified the Stringfellow Park and Ride as the optimal location for the relocation site in order to prevent any loss of coverage and improve upon the current coverage in the area.
T-Mobile and Milestone Communications have filed an application for a wireless telecommunications facility (SE2019-SU-019) at Stringfellow Road Park and Ride located at 4920 Stringfellow Road, Centreville, VA 20120. The proposal is for a 124′ monopole and will include ground equipment required to operate the facility. This equipment will be located at the base of the structure in a secure fenced area.
This website will serve as a community portal, keeping you informed about the project, while providing resources on wireless communications, public safety, and more.
The community meeting was held on Wednesday, November 20th from 6:30-7:30p at Chantilly High School (Lecture Hall), 4201 Stringfellow Rd, Chantilly, VA 20151.
A community balloon fly occurred on Saturday, November 16th from 8 AM to 12 PM. At this event, a balloon was flown at the location and height of the proposed facility to give community members a sense of the height and visibility of the structure.
